Kuala Lumpur – A total of 36 finalists for the Mrs Malaysia World 2019/2020 Pageant was announced by Mrs Malaysia World Sdn Bhd (MMWSB) on the 12th September last week during a press conference held at Pavilion Hotel. The Finalists are made up of all ethnic backgrounds of Malaysian women between the age of 25 to 55 years old and which includes various professions such as accountants, doctor, teachers and entrepreneurs.

This 36 finalists were the result of a gruelling process which saw about 650 entries that went through intense elimination phases that also includes an interview session by the Judges. The criteria of selection was based on their intelligence, personality, leadership and most of all, their commitment to the well-being of their surrounding communities through social causes involvement.

A purposeful Pageant that is meant to create role models who inspire, and in keeping true to that purpose, this year’s Pageant Finalist will be adorned with the specially designed “Unity Ribbon” by Projek 57, in support of the vision for a united Malaysia. With that being said, the Pageant practices inclusiveness even in its application process, in which it accepts married women with no discrimination whatsoever against their religion, age, height, weight, or marital status.

In the next 2 months, the 36 finalists will undergo a series of arduous training regime which includes grooming sessions ( hair and make-up), personal wellness, mindset conditioning, self-defence lessons, fitness, baking, catwalk, stage presence and also public speaking. On of that, they will also carry out community programs which includes a visit to the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM).

The 36 finalists will be assessed for Grand Finals through a series of competitions which are broken down to Interview, Preliminary, Commitment, and Perseverance throughout the 2 months of training. There will also be a total of 5 sub-titles that will be awarded which will be announced early November this year.

At the end of it all, The Grand Winner will catwalk away with a total of RM10,0000 in cash and a crown fit for a queen, a 2-night stay at a suite in Pavillion Hotel and the list of the prizes goes on and ultimately wear a national costume at the final night of Mrs.World 2020 in Las Vegas.

Now, that’s one excellent beauty pageant! Kudos to the Organizers.
